Some Ideas: Check Marion County Histories and also Nora. Also, there may be another Broad Ripple in Indiana in the past but no longer on any maps, so check place names in Indiana. What about church histories. Years ago an acceptable abbreviation for Indiana was Ia. which has also been used for Iowa. Carrie Walker
