This isn't much help, Tom, but my Mother sent my Dad's
shirts out for professional attention and Lux Laundry
was one of the places used over the years. There was
a shirt cardboard inside the carefully folded steam-
pressed starched shirt, and around the shirt was a
paper band that read "Lux Laundry", and all of that
was tucked into a tissuepaper bag. All for pennies!
(Business was different in those days!)
Whatever happened to Jules Media Menswear? I think
it was just east of Stewart's on BR Avenue...
